Men's Liberation Group of Marin Facilitated by Joa Marcu, MA At times - do you feel down on yourself or inadequate as a man in your career, finances, or relationships? Our men's group is focused on each man's liberation with a unique approach. Instead of trying to liberate ourselves from the life we do not want, our strategy is more about focusing on liberating our unlimited creative power to manifest what we do want. Week by week, each man is supported with clarifying his intention in his career and relationships, and how to create it. Men discover that when they are in touch with their creativity (manifesting their dreams) many of their problems seem to fall away on their own. Our assumption is that we were all made in the image and likeness of our creator. We will assist you with facing and owning your "shadow" (your human patterns that you are least aware of that hold you back). But more so, we will support you with reclaiming your divinity. Regardless what you are going through, the inherent nature of your soul is precious. We are here to remind you of your infinite potential as a man. You are either reacting to circumstances or realizing yourself as the Master Creator of your life. We are here to assist you with shifting your life from victim hood to mastery. Mastery means stopping complaining and starting making the best of what you have. We are here to remind you that you have much more than you probably think. We will help you let go of lessor thoughts, beliefs, feelings and actions that distract you from realizing and expressing your Greater Potential. Every man has a Calling that serves the highest good of all, including himself. Our group can help you know your Authentic Self, and get on with doing your higher calling successfully. We meet to improve our self esteem and heal our relationships with men and women. You can not love yourself as a man until you can learn to love other men. Being raised by women and having an absent father, I learned to center my life around women in order to feel secure about myself. This unhealthy pattern of needing to please women to feel approval for myself has caused me a great deal of suffering in my life. During the past 20 years, I have received a great deal of healing from meeting with men who honor each other unconditionally, and encourage each other to live their greater potential. Paradoxically, after meeting with men in an empowering way, my relationships with women have improved immensely. When I realize that I don’t need them, I have more to offer them authentically (with far less energy going out of me), and they always seem to feel it and notice it! Joa Marcu What We Are Not - We are not a 12 step program, although many of us deeply value these groups. The Men's Liberation Group of Marin will help you own your shadow (that part of you that you are least aware of that can sabotage your aliveness) but this group will never have you identify with it as who you are. With us, you will be deeply supported with building a stronger relationship with your Higher Power - as your own authentic essence - without denying your human patterns. By acknowledging your inherent attributes as well as your learned limitations a sound bridge can be built between your old ways to a new way of life. Instead of trying to stop you with acting out unhealthy behaviors, our focus is more about supporting you with increasing your healthy behaviors, like those activities that bring more love and purpose into your life, so the less healthy habits can lose their purpose. We are also not a men's encounter group that will initiate you to be anything other than who you already are. Our methods are more gentle than many other men's groups, but very effective with supporting the life transformation of your choosing. Instead of initiation done to you by other men, each man chooses his own initiation to a greater level of presence, only if and when he is naturally ready for this. What We Are - We come together to embrace all that we are, our masculine and feminine side, higher self and lower self, to claim and live our wholeness and bring our full potential into fruition. We observe universal principles and apply spiritual psychological methods to help each man liberate himself from his human conditioning and ground his inherent magnificence, including his inner peace and ability to co create with the universe the life of his dreams. Acceptance is Key to Change. Joa's promise in this group is that no man will judge another without having to face and own his projection. Our focus is to not judge, but learn to accept and appreciate each man's difference and the growth that is stirred in ourselves through our ever changing chemistry. Acceptance includes accepting your divine power be the change you want to see in others, as we teach mainly through our example. What We Do? Our time together includes your sharing our stories, feelings, creativity, and wisdom, practicing meditation, prayer, drumming, transformational breathing, songs and poems, goal setting, being held accountable, issue resolution, and gratitude. We speak in rounds, so everyone has a chance to share on each subject presented. This is a coached mastermind group. In other words, you will be supported by all the men with creating your dreams into reality via Joa's guidance. You will likely learn how to empower other men as well as women through a large variety of spiritual-psychological tools and communication skills, many of which you have likely not been exposed to before. From Joa's experiences of meeting in a variety of men's groups for over 20 years, Joa is taking from the best of what has given him the most direct healing and empowering experiences. From this experience, he is putting together a variety of factors that he has yet to see in a single group of men. These factors include: Spirituality We honor the divinity within ourselves and all our relations. Our issues are not who we are, even though we may have unconsciously constructed them. We are Spiritual Beings having human experiences. At anytime we can claim our divine right to make new choices that reflect our infinite power to co-create with the universe what our soul yearns for. We ache to live our higher potential, and we each have this divine blueprint that is waiting to be claimed and lived. Our group is to assist you with claiming your destiny to greatness, and your leadership to help other men do the same. Co-Creativity Each meeting is a co-creation with each other and our Higher Power via - Drumming, making music, singing, meditating, prayer, and divining intuitive answers from our Higher Power. Supporting each other with shifting our lives from being at the effect of what we don’t want to being at cause of what we do want. This means getting on with knowing and doing our Soul’s magnificent calling. This will eventually include but not be limited to visioning, mind mapping, vision board, and weekly homework that each man chooses for himself and is accountable for. Life Balance As each of us encounters the trials of life, we compassionately help each other overcome our upsets through learning how to release unhealthy projections, heal self criticism through a very powerful method and reframe negative interpretations so each man can truly use what is happening in his life to his advantage. The Men's Liberation Group of Marin is no more than 10 men who meet one evening a week for 11 weeks followed by a weekend camp out. Each week will have a theme as follows: 1. Self Discovery, Life Assessment This first group is facilitated by Joa Marcu. Men who decide to participate is additional 12 week series will be given greater leadership roles until they decide they are ready to start their own group.
